Check , repair , calibration and certification of the Diaphragm Actuators Valve. for the Diaphragm Actuators Valve work is done in the workshop so the Diaphragm Actuators Valve  will be removed and under the workshop.

Work performed

Check and repair the diaphragm actuator unit

  1. Remove all parts and do cleaning.
  2. Check the condition of each part ( diaphragm casing,diaphragm,diaphragm plate,actuator spring ,actuator stem & spring seat ).
  3. Replace the O ring seal and packing.
  4. Replace the damaged part

Check and repair the valve unit

  1. Remove all parts and do cleaning
  2. Check the condition of each part ( stem,bonet,gland packing,dics & seat )
  3. Replace the glanding packing and seal 
  4. Replace the damaged part ( bolt nut & other )
  5. Checking Result
    • Diaphragm Actuators Valve  – No:1: Found a damaged part (seat ring gasket), which resulted in the valve leaking Replace with a new seat ring gasket
    • Diaphragm Actuators Valve  – No:2: Found a damaged part (seat ring gasket), which resulted in the valve leaking Replace with a new seat ring gasket
    • Diaphragm Actuators Valve  – No:3: All valve unit parts are in good condition, hydrotest is carried out and no leaks are found

Remove the cover and do cleaningCheck and repair the positioners unit

  1. Check the condition of each part
  2. Replace the O ring seal and packing
  3. Check the condition of the pressure gauge unit
  4. Check the condition and setting of the pressure regulator at the right value
  5. Perform arm travel and beam leveling calibration
  6. Check connectors and tubing for leaks
  7. Checking result :
    • Diaphragm Actuators Valve  – No:1: Found a damaged part (pressure gauge, size 1.5 inch), Replace with a new pressure gauge 
    • Diaphragm Actuators Valve  – No:2: All parts are in good condition, only travel positioner ajdusting
    • Diaphragm Actuators Valve  – No:3: All parts are in good condition

Check and repair the current to pressure unit ( I to P )

  1. Check the performance of the current to pressure unit
  2. Do calibration i to p unit according to datasheet
  3. Checking result :
    • Diaphragm Actuators Valve  – No:1: Performance of I to P unit to function properly
    • Diaphragm Actuators Valve  – No:2: Performance of I to P unit to function properly
    • Diaphragm Actuators Valve  – No:3: This type does not use I to P units

Commissioning test and certification

  1. Reassemble all parts and do the test
  2. Calibrate each diaphragm actuator valve unit according to factory standards
  3. Record and make a certificate
  4. Reinstall the diaphragm actuator valve to vessel
  5. Commissioning test result : 3 valve control units have been installed on board, for the test is still waiting for the schedule from the ship’s chief engineer NORDIC BAHARI
